Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (also called PGSM) is a Japanese drama television series based on the Sailor Moon manga. It was produced by Toei Company and Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting, airing on that station in Nagoya and on the Japan News Network nationwide from October 4, 2003 to September 25, 2004, and was a retelling of the series' first story arc, with some considerable plot changes. The series lasted 49 episodes (called Acts), and also included two separate made-for-DVD specials, for a total of 51 acts. The series has yet to be released out of Japan.
