Generation 1 

     The first version of the manga was released in Japan between 1992 and 1995 and is referred to as the "Tankobon" or "collected edition." They contain the first printing of Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon and Codename Sailor V in a collected format following their initial release in the comic magazines Nakayoshi and RunRun. 

      English release: The English version was released by TokyoPop in the late 90's and early 2000's. They feature all the Short Stories and notes from Naoko Takeuchi. The major changes being the pages flipped right to left, some of the character names from the English language version of the anime are used, and some American references were thrown in. TokyoPop also released this version in their magazines and in comic form. Codename Sailor V was not in this release
