Pioneer (also known as Geneon) was the company involved in dubbing and distributing the three Sailor Moon movies. They also released Sailor Moon S and SuperS on DVD/VHS. Three different versions of their release of the Sailor Moon movies exist, one in original Japanese, subtitled, and uncut on VHS and DVD, one edited, dubbed, and with DiC music on VHS, and one uncut, dubbed, and with original Japanese music on DVD. The dub itself remains the same on both releases. 

• Most of the original background music was changed (VHS VERSION ONLY)
• Body lines were erased in the transformations (VHS VERSION ONLY)
• Parts of the openings were cut and replaced with a new opening using the DiC theme song (VHS VERSION ONLY) 
• Some scenes were cut all together, or had sections cut out of them (VHS VERSION ONLY) 
• Any hints of homosexuality were removed (DVD and VHS VERSIONS) 
• Attack names and transformations were changed (DVD and VHS VERSIONS)
• Some character names where changed to match with the DiC dub - Usgai is called "Serena"
